The Girl Scouts of Central Illinois hosted their 10th Annual Operation Cookie Share on Saturday, April 8 2023 in Springfield and Decatur. This fundraiser shows appreciation and care for the military, frontline responders, healthcare providers and community through the comfort of Girl Scout cookies. Staff members from Neuhoff Media Decatur and Neuhoff Media Springfield joined Girl Scout troops and Hickory Point Bank employees across Central Illinois to help collect donations. Donations make it possible to send out thousands of Girl Scout cookie boxes to those who make our community a better place as well as raise awareness and funds for the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
This event aims to help the military & community, but Pam Kovacevich of the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois told the “Byers & Co” morning show that this event equally helps the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois.
“Hickory Point Bank collaborates with us to help show girls they can be anything they want to be and having those role models like the Hickory Point Bank employees, the first responders and the military is a huge output of this program.”
Kovacevich also shared that the Girl Scouts have a fundraising goal of $18,000, which would send over 2,500 boxes of cookies to overseas military and to local frontline responders & healthcare providers. Donations will still be accepted through April 14, 2023. Here’s how you can help:
