The Georgetown Fair in Illinois proudly crowned Meghan Simpson as its new queen on Monday, July 10, 2023. The fairgrounds were filled with excitement and anticipation as the young beauty from Hoopeston, Illinois, received the coveted title.
As the Georgetown Fair Queen, Simpson will represent the fair throughout its duration, which runs until Saturday, July 15th.
The day after her triumph, Simpson granted an interview to D102’s Tommy B, sharing her thoughts on the win and her plans for the future including attending the University of Kentucky in the fall.
Fun fact: Simpson’s coronation as the Georgetown Fair Queen is not the first instance of regal achievement in her family. In fact, her older sister had previously worn the crown six years ago.
