DECATUR, IL – On Thursday, July 13, 2023, Neuhoff Media Decatur team members attended the American Cancer Society‘s Farm to Table Macon County Fundraiser. The event, held at Richland Community College in Decatur, IL, aimed to raise awareness and funds for the various programs within the American Cancer Society (ACS) that support local cancer patients in their battles against the disease.

The Farm To Table event showcased the efforts and initiatives of the American Cancer Society in assisting cancer patients, which include providing transportation to appointments and treatments, as well as offering lodging for patients and their families. It also sought to raise funds to further support and expand these essential programs.

Y103‘s Shyler and 95Q‘s Tonee Roper attended the event along with Emily Phillips, Neuhoff Account Executive, and Kathy Byerly, Vice President and General Manager of Neuhoff Media Decatur.  Among the attractions of the event were a popcorn raffle, hog raffle, wine toss, and candy buffet. The backdrop provided a perfect photo opportunity next to the silent auction table, which featured an array of incredible items, including a girls’ night out package, Cardinal’s baseball tickets, and tickets to the Coaches Versus Cancer event in April, hosted by ACS in partnership with NABC and the University of Illinois.

The highlight of the evening was the main event, which offered guests small plates of locally crafted food samples, paired with a selection of wines, craft beer, cocktails, and mocktails. The ambiance was enhanced by the presence of local singer/songwriter Emmalynn Paul, who provided entertainment, and tableside magician Amazing Dudley, who amazed the attendees with his magical performances.

The event’s success was evident as it raised over an impressive $34,000 for the American Cancer Society’s crucial initiatives.

“Cancer has touched all our lives, and coming together at Farm to Table, we can work together to end cancer as we know it,” remarked Kate Wilson, Senior Development Manager of the American Cancer Society – North Region.
