Springfield, IL – Neuhoff Media’s Sports Radio 1450 AM/92.3 FM’s morning show, “AM Springfield,” captured the spotlight at the Illinois State Fair playing host to a trio of influential Democrats on Democrat/Governor’s Day at the fair.
Governor JB Pritzker, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, and Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza visited the show for an interview with AM Springfield host, Sam Madonia.
Pritzker reflected on the lessons learned while leading through the COVID pandemic, some of the improvements happening in the Springfield area and throughout the state, and a soon-to-be-released book by his wife, Mary Kathryn Muenster, about the history of the State of Illinois through the Governor’s Mansion.
Durbin shared his recent visits to downstate Illinois hospitals and the challenges they are facing as well as the Farm Bill and its current status.
Mendoza shared an update on her mother’s recent medical emergency. She also spoke about financial status of Illinois including the reserve fund and an increase in the speed that the state pays its bills.
