October 10, 2023, Springfield, IL – The 4th Annual Fill the Trailer Food Drive has begun, and Channel1450.com is excited to see if local high school football teams can surpass last year’s collection of 3639 pounds of food donated.
Local high school football teams compete against each other to see who can donate the most food. This year defending three-time champion Auburn is participating as well as Sacred Heart-Griffin, Springfield High, Lanphier and New Berlin. The teams will have until Monday, October 23rd to collect their food. That day all the food will be delivered to the Central Illinois Food Bank.
The winners will receive t-shirts for their team and the winning coaching staff will receive Channel1450.com quarter zips with their school logo.
