Neuhoff Media stations across central Illinois joined forces on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, for an inspiring day of generosity and community support during the “All In Donation Day.” The event, which ran from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., successfully raised $65,244 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois (RMHCCI).
The initiative provided a unique opportunity for the local community to rally together and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses in Springfield and Peoria, Illinois. Supporters had various options to show their compassion, including phone-in donations, online contributions, and even the opportunity to fulfill wishes from an Amazon Wish List.
Two Neuhoff Media stations, WSOY-AM’s “Byers & Co.” and WFMB-AM’s “AM Springfield,” broadcasted their morning shows live from the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield. Brian Byers, host of “Byers & Co.,” and Sam Madonia, host of “AM Springfield,” took the opportunity to interview families who have either stayed or are currently residing at the Ronald McDonald House while their children receive treatment at local hospitals. RMHCCI Board Chair Mark Denzler and RMHCCI CEO Amber Kaylor were guests on the show, sharing insights into the mission of RMHCCI. Amber Kaylor emphasized, “Our goal is to lift every burden off the family, so they can solely focus on their child.”
