On Saturday, October 21, 2023, the Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon and 5k brought together thousands of runners and walkers for a day of fitness and philanthropy on the Purdue University campus at Ross-Ade Stadium. This marked the 12th year of the event.
Neuhoff Media stations K-105 (WKOA-FM) and B102.9 (WXXB-FM) sponsored the event and on-air personality, Mac, attended.
The Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon and 5k is an annual event dedicated to raising funds for the Purdue Athletes for Life Success Program (PALS). Since its inception in 2012, this event has successfully raised over $110,000 to benefit underserved youth in Tippecanoe County. PALS is a free summer camp for children aged 8-14 whose family incomes are at or below federal poverty guidelines.
