Woodward Communications, Inc. Finalizes Purchase of Last Neuhoff Media Radio Stations

Woodward Communications, Inc. (WCI) has officially completed the acquisition of Neuhoff Media Springfield, LLC and Neuhoff Media Bloomington, LLC. This purchase includes seven radio stations: WBBE-FM, WWHX-FM, and WIHN-FM in Bloomington, Illinois, and WFMB-AM, WFMB-FM, WXAJ-FM, and WCVS-FM, as well as the local sports brand Channel1450.com in Springfield, Illinois.

This transaction signifies the final step in the Neuhoff family’s strategic decision to exit the broadcast industry after nearly 70 years of operation. The former Neuhoff Media brands will now operate under Woodward Community Media, a division of WCI.   WCI is an employee-owned company headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa and owns and operates community media businesses, including: print and digital community newspapers; radio; lifestyle publications; events; business-to-business publications; custom publishing, and commercial printing.
