March 14, 2023 – Tuesday evening, during the annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville, America’s Best Country Program Directors were honored. Neuhoff Media’s Josh Roberts was an honoree on the prestigious list, and this wasn’t his first time.
Roberts is Program Director of Neuhoff Media’s WFMB-FM in Springfield, Illinois, and WDZQ-FM in Decatur, Illinois. When asked ‘What makes a Country station sound great (outside the music)?’ Josh answered, “Your local talent delivering great content that connects with the listeners. From talking about what’s happening locally that listeners are talking about, concerts, events, news stories, to talking about the latest national headlines and getting their perspective on that. It’s all about connecting with the audience. Great imaging is a must too! Think outside the box when writing.”
