Springfield, IL – July 5, 2023 – The Channel1450.com Awards, an annual event celebrating the remarkable achievements of high school athletes in the 2022-2023 school year, took place at the LRS Hangar at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Approximately 500 attendees, including athletes, coaches, parents, and sports enthusiasts, gathered for an unforgettable night of recognition and celebration.
Organized by Neuhoff Media Springfield and Channel1450.com, the event showcased the exceptional talent displayed by Central State Eight and Area athletes. Awards were presented to deserving individuals for their outstanding performances in various sports, as well as for their dedication and commitment to their teams. The awards ceremony also provided an opportunity to celebrate academic excellence. A total of $4,000 in scholarship money was awarded to two deserving scholar-athletes. This recognition highlights the importance of balancing sports and academics and encourages students to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. Coach and team of the year awards were also presented to honor those who have made a significant impact on high school athletics.
