The Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series concluded its 4th season on Thursday, August 3, 2023. The final concert of the season featured singer/songwriter Marques Morel and Nashville duo LoneHollow, featuring Central Illinois-native Riley Bourne. The performers played at the Y Block, a plaza located on the corner of S 4th Street & E Jackson Street in Downtown Springfield. The show was presented in partnership with the City of Springfield’s Mayor’s Office.

“It was a perfect night for country music, community and connection in downtown Springfield for the final time in 2023.” Kayla Graven, Executive Director of Downtown Springfield, Inc. said. “This series is a highlight for Downtown Springfield each summer, and tonight’s show was no exception.”

WFMB’s John Spalding, co-host of New Country Mornings, represented Neuhoff at this final concert. Spalding said that “It was a perfect night weather-wise and the show brought out one of the biggest crowds of the year.”

The series will continue to bring a wide variety of live music concerts for free to downtown Springfield each summer. The series has received funding through 2025, made possible by a multi-year Levitt AMP Grant awarded to the Downtown Springfield Heritage Foundation in September of 2022.

The Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series is supported in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a private foundation that partners with towns and cities across America to activate underused public spaces, creating thriving and inclusive destinations where people of all ages and backgrounds come together through the power of free, live music.
