Shyler Kraus Elected to Decatur Area Arts Council Board of Directors

Neuhoff Media’s Shyler Kraus was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Decatur Area Arts Council (DAAC). DAAC introduces and promotes the arts, enhances arts educational opportunities, and increases the impact of and access to the arts to improve the quality of life in the Decatur area community.

Kraus began her serve on the Decatur Area Arts Council Board in September 2023 and will serve a three-year term on the board. Kraus is the program director for Y103 (WSOY-FM), a role she’s held since 2019. She also provides her on-air talents to stations across Neuhoff Media’s markets. As a Decatur native, Kraus is excited to help promote the arts in her hometown.

“My whole life is the arts, honestly,” Kraus said. “I am a musician, run programming for a music-based radio station, and collect art. I love being able to get more involved in the local art scene.”

Kraus is one of five new members elected to the DAAC Board of Directors within the past few months.

“The Arts Council is excited to welcome a terrific collection of enthusiastic local leaders who share a passion for the arts,” DAAC Executive Director Jerry Johnson said.
