95Q and the Macon County Farm Bureau teamed up for another successful year of Feed the Farmers. Feed the Farmers is an initiative through the Macon County Farm Bureau that provides free lunches to those working in the fields during harvest season. 95Q joined the Macon County Farm Bureau at four different grain towers in Macon County over a two-week period, spanning from the end of September into the beginning of October, to serve free barbecue lunches to hardworking farmers.
Executive Vice President Tim Stock described Feed the Farmers as the Macon County Farm Bureau’s way of showing farmers that their community cares for them.
“Our farmers are feeding the world,” Stock said. “Harvests are a long process with long hours in the field, so we want to give them a break and keep them safe. Hopefully, we can make them feel special and be successful.”
This year’s service was possible thanks to Scott State Bank, The Community Foundation of Macon County, Country Financial, and Refreshment Services Pepsi.
