Macon County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) hosted the 2023 Jeans & Bling Fundraiser Gala on Saturday, October 21, from 6-10 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Convention Center. At the annual gala,  guests are encouraged to wear their blue jeans and favorite bling for a casual evening of fun and giving to raise money to support Macon County CASA’s ongoing mission to advocate for abused and neglected children in Macon and DeWitt Counties.

The evening consisted of comfort food, the signature CASA Sparkletini cocktail, a silent auction, backyard games and activities in the CASA Courtyard presented by 121 Patios featuring backyard games, caricature artist Ed Lozano, and live music from the local band Pizzazz.

Shyler Kraus, lead singer of Pizzazz and program director of Neuhoff Media Decatur’s Y103, was proud to be a part of this year’s gala because of CASA’s significance in helping underserved children on a local level.

“Supporting Macon County CASA comes so naturally when you truly realize the impact of what they do and how beneficial their work is to the abused and neglected children of our community.” Kraus said. “The Jeans & Bling Gala was an incredible night, not only raising funds and awareness of Macon County CASA, but also celebrating CASA and the amazing impact they make through their organization.”
