Veteran play-by-play announcer Aric Lee marked his 1000th game broadcast. Lee’s milestone achievement was recognized on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Joe Venturi Gymnasium at St. Teresa High School, just before the face-off between the St. Teresa Bulldogs and Eisenhower Panthers basketball teams.
Aric Lee has been integral to Neuhoff Media’s Decatur stations for many years. In addition to lending his voice to broadcast St. Teresa High School’s Football and Basketball games on WSOY-AM, he’s covered numerous high school football, basketball, and baseball games in the area. Additionally, his coverage extended to Millikin University, where he provided play-by-play for home football games, previously broadcast on Decatur’s Fox Sports 1050 (formerly ESPN 1050).
The celebratory recognition was a testament to Aric Lee’s enduring passion for sports and his invaluable contribution to the local sports.
