Neuhoff Media Danville’s Bill Pickett and Steve Brandy spent an exciting morning at the Danville Area Community College’s Bremer Center on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, as they participated in the Danville High School Future Problem Solvers Youth Leadership Conference.
The Youth Leadership Conference, organized by the Danville High School Future Problem Solvers, allowed high school students to engage in discussions on crucial topics to inspire meaningful change within their community. Pickett and Brandy, alongside other local leaders such as IL Congresswoman Robin Kelly, State Representative Brandun Schweizer, Danville Police Chief Christopher Yates, and Vermilion Advantage’s Mike Marron, conducted rotating roundtable discussions.
The roundtable discussions covered a range of essential topics including school funding and equity, housing, legislation, employment and career opportunities, and student mental health. The interactive sessions allowed students to gain insights from experienced leaders and contribute to meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to them.
Bill Pickett and Steve Brandy were honored to be part of this initiative, providing guidance and perspective to the youth leaders of tomorrow. The event exemplified the commitment of the local community to fostering leadership skills and engaging in constructive dialogues with the younger generation.
