On January 27, 2024, the BOS Center was the venue for America’s largest trivia night fundraiser, with proceeds going to CrimeStoppers of Sangamon & Menard Counties. The event featured 115 tables with teams of up to ten participants each, competing by answering a series of 100 trivia questions.

The event was hosted by Neuhoff Media’s Sam Madonia from AM Springfield on Sports Radio 92.3 FM/1450 AM (WFMB-AM), John Spalding from 104.5 WFMB (WFMB-FM), and Joe Crain, Director of Public Events at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum.  Neuhoff Media is a long-time supporter of CrimeStoppers and has promoted and emceed the CrimeStoppers Trivia Night for over a decade.

This year’s first place team was from table #94, named “Hold On Let Me Overthink It.” The second-place team was “Beautiful Minds” from table #70, and “CAK” from table #78 took third place. The night also featured raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle to raise additional funds.

CrimeStoppers of Sangamon and Menard Counties was born in 1983 and has grown tremendously over the years.  CrimeStoppers is a nonprofit organization funded entirely by fundraisers and donations from citizens and civic organizations.  CrimeStoppers has a 30-member Board of Directors who donate their time and talents to keep CrimeStoppers successful.  For more information about CrimeStoppers or the Trivia Night, contact Valerie Bolinger valerie.bolinger@cashfortips.us.  You can also visit the CrimeStoppers website.
