The annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade marched through the heart of Downtown Springfield, IL on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Neuhoff Media Springfield’s 104.5 WFMB and 99.7 The MIX were among the lineup of nearly 100 local businesses and organizations marching in this year’s parade. The parade kicked off at noon and looped from Jefferson Street to Capitol Avenue.
The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade celebrated its 40th year with a theme of “Irish Pubs & Folklore.” Reflecting this year’s theme, this year’s Grand Marshal of the Parade was Barry Friedman, a local bar owner and a dedicated community member.
